Daisy picots and Maltese rings

I came across a beautiful technique on one of the sites called the daisy picots by Riet Surtel. It can be used to make beautiful flowers using two color or more. I especially liked the explanation and supporting pictures given at Jon’s site. Here are my first attempts at making daisy picots.

Jon’s snowflake with daisy picots done in Cebelia size 20, pretty pink and baby pink.

Maltese rings were another challenge. I gave myself two days to gather information, instructions and learn. Once I make up my mind, things start happening on their own.

Martha Ess has given very detailed instructions for Maltese rings. The inner loops can either face inwards or outwards.

Few more tatting projects

This is Mom's Pink doily from the be-stitched site. It is tatted in Cebelia size 10.

I completed this bookmark two days back. I have yet to plait the tassels and do the finishing. It is a Lenore English bookmark in size 20.
